Welcome to Llanelli Open Bowls Tournaments

We organise a long-standing series of bowling competitions that are held throughout the season, all of which, are open to both men and lady bowlers.  The tournaments are held on easily accessible greens in the beautiful county of Carmarthenshire.  There is great prize money on offer and a friendly atmosphere is guaranteed.

Roberts-Rolfe Open Singles - 6th to 11th July 2008

Run since 1926 and under the sponsorship of Carmarthenshire County Council, is re-establishing itself as the premier singles event in South West Wales and carries a winners prize of £600.

A.J. Stacey Memorial Open Singles - 17th to 22nd August 2008

Another prestigious event in its 61st running, and sponsored by Calsonic Kansei Social Club, Gower Timber Ltd, and Blue Rock Construction in 2007, the “Stacey” is another highly competitive event, as the valuable first prize of £500 indicates.

Arthur Cambrey Rotary Pairs - 31st August to 4th September 2008

This very popular and sought after Competition is in its 51st year, and the winners’ prize of £500 reflects the importance of the event. Sponsored by Arthur Cambrey, Funeral Directors of Llanelli, in conjunction with Golden Charter Funeral Plans.  

Held on the immaculate greens at Parc Howard and Calsonic in Llanelli, all these tournaments are regarded as some of the most competitive, yet friendliest, in the country.      

All Competitions are open to Men and Ladies.

The town of Llanelli, and County of Carmarthen, have lots to offer, and are perfect bases for visiting competitors to enjoy an exhilarating, or relaxing, break. Known as the Garden of Wales, and coupled with it’s proximity to the beautiful Gower Peninsula, the area attracts many visitors, and time off the green can be spent enjoying it’s many attractions.
